Hotel Mariandl

Pros +

• Cosy "french feeling" artist hangout hotel. A liitle run down, in a charming way. Great and positive staff.
• Very central location, nice rooms, comfortable beds.
• The hotel side is great I recommend their large room. Breakfast boil your own eggs is great. The female staff we accounter were amicable. The location is good if you plan to walk and use buses.

Cons -

• Narrow bed, too soft pillow
• Piano music from the ground floor caf was clearly audible in the first floor every evening until about 1 a.m. There was a sufficient selection for breakfast, but only half-baked, hard rolls were served daily. In the evenings, staff smoked in the caf, where breakfast was also served in the morning, even though it's a non-smoking establishment.
• The restaurant side could be improved as they have the potential to attract also local business with live music. We experienced a very bad recooked schnitzel. The link between hotel and bar could be nicer. Roof deco the brown marble imitation is not as good as the colour you can see in Munich churches. Smoking e-cigarette behind the bar should be banned.
