This hotel blends an industrial history with elegant décor and modern facilities. Ghent River occupies several former factory buildings, less than half a mile from the Botermarkt. It features a sauna, gym free Wi-Fi and a riverside terrace. The rooms at Ghent River Hotel have a TV, minibar and a modern bathroom. Some of the rooms include original features such as high ceilings or wood- beam ceilings. The House of Alijn is only 300 yards from River Hotel. Gent-Dampoort Train Station is a 15-minute walk away. The center of Brussels is 40 minutes away by car. Each morning a buffet breakfast is served in the breakfast room which features panoramic views of Ghent. The buffet includes croissants and pancakes as well as bacon and scrambled eggs.

- The hotel is situated in a great location close to the square and shops. Historical sites are walking distance. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They offer a great and delicious selection of breakfast buffet starting 6:30 every morning.

Cons -
- Workers are rude and could care less about the guests. Disappointing stay in a fantastic city.
- Noise. The alleyway next to the hotel is noisy.
- room was not clean - dusty bathroom smelled like urine A/C was broken & was VERY hot in room walls are PAPER THIN and can hear everything breakfast food was awful, eggs runny & sausage rubbery - paid EUR20 for yogurt and fruit. 0/10 recommend
