The Flandria Hotel is a simple guest house that offers budget accommodations in the historical heart of Ghent. Benefit from the short distance to the main sights and attractions. The hotel rooms are basic but are cozy in style. Some rooms have a shared bathroom, while others have private facilities. In the morning, you can taste a nice breakfast buffet. Start your day with fresh and natural products and tasty whole meal breads. The sitting area is a quiet place to relax with a cup of tea and a book. You can use the free bicycle storage for bikes. - Great location, walking distance from tram and centre of town. Friendly staff and quiet despite road works outside. Would recommend.
- Great, clean room for two people. Fantastic large bathroom. Only about three minutes from a main square, so very central but in a quiet area. Very friendly staff who gave us a kettle when we asked for one. Luggage storage was easy.
- Good breakfast for 12 and location, 5 mins walk from city center. And thats about it.
Cons -
- When the room next door uses the water it makes a humming and then a banging noise.
- Old building and worn out, smells of mildew. Not clean at all. The stairs steep and small which had noticeable dirt that stayed for 3 days unswept. Felt a bit overpriced! For 3 days noone cleaned our room or changed the towels. Our bathroom was tiny, the door was squeaky. Shower room had no space to turn around and very very worn out. We were on the very top floor with lots of stairs to climb.
