Pros +
- Character of building, style of decor and rooms. Interesting spaces and had a life of its own. Cocktails were good and bar + staff friendly.
- The overall character of the property and it's history made it a place you wanted to be. The architecture & decor were really nice, it felt like a you were a part of London's past and future. There was an ambience to the whole property including the bar.
- Excellent location if you¿re looking to be near Hyde Park + Kensington Gardens. No coffee shop or restaurant very nearby.
Cons -
- Restaurant never seems to be open each time I have visited. But bar food was okay.
- The original patio doors didn't really close 100% so there was a small draft blowing through them, BUT the heating was so very good it wasn't such an issue. Just an observation.
- The rooms are in terrible condition - bed creaky, lighting doesn¿t work properly, no outlet in the bathroom, window broken, carpet dirty, shower moldy, toilet doesn¿t flush properly, sink handles broken and screeching sound.

Helpful staff, nice large room (especially by European standards).
The room decor was a little tired (chipped paint etc.). The shower in the room we had did not have a curtain or door, so the water went all over the bathroom.
