Hotel Montecarlo is located 5 minutes' walk from Rome Termini Train Station, and features a bar and classic-style accommodations with air conditioning. Free WiFi is available throughout. Rooms at the Montecarlo all come with a satellite TV and private bathroom. They overlook the courtyard or street, and all rooms feature an LCD TV with pay-per-view channels. Montecarlo's staff are available 24 hours a day and can recommend the best restaurants and places to visit in Rome's historic center. They can also book tickets on sightseeing tours. A buffet breakfast that consists of scrambled eggs, bacon, cold meats, homemade cakes, croissants, yogurt, and fruit is available daily at the bar located on the rooftop terrace, which is open all year round. The Montecarlo Hotel is located 1312 feet from Castro Pretorio Metro Stop which has a direct link to the Coliseum. From Termini Metro Station you can reach the Spanish Steps and the Vatican City in just a few minutes.

- Roof Top Cafe. Breakfast was nice, and it was a great place to relax after a long day being a tourist. Rooms were good sized for Europe. Jacuzzi tubs in the bedrooms were nice after long travel, and walking around all day.

- The only negative was on individual at the front desk was a little grumpy. The rest of the front desk staff and roof top staff were very pleasant.
- Shower inside a deep tub made it difficult to get in & out of tub to shower. Very tight bathroom with no window or exhaust fan. Plastic cups never replaced after use. Had to use coffee cup to rinse out mouth & take meds. Lack of draws for clothing.
- There were several steps just to get into the hotel and several more steps to get to the elevator. This can be an issue for somebody with mobility problems or heavy cases. The hotel felt old, though I imagine many hotels in this part of town are similar.
