Pros +
- Location, location, location and design of the rooms and common amenities
- Comfy beds and view from our room
- Rooms are great, bed super comfortable, spa was nice as well, short walk to ocean and all staff super nice
Cons -
- Room privacy on first level is challenging
- For a property this expensive ($600 US per night) I was expecting dining options to match the quality of the room. Breakfast was in a lovely room but the options were in keeping with the continental breakfast options at a Holiday Inn! Despite booking our dinner in the evening and arriving exactly on time , we were asked to wait outside the ‘partner restaurant’ 5 mins walk away on a very cool evening for 30 mins for the next table to become available! We were told there was no room at the bar. Eventually we were seated at a table next to the kitchen disposal area and the food we ate was average at best. Staff were sweet and wearing ‘Be Nice’ T shirts. Maybe they had experienced disappointed customers previously?
- coffee could be better(Keurig is crap)

It’s new and everything feels fresh and high quality. The place is eco-responsible and has cultivated great relationships with the local community. Loved their resource room with books you could borrow and games. Loved that they had allergy-friendly options at breakfast, which included a great view. Loved that there was a great coffee shop and restaurant in walking distance of the hotel, where we ate twice. Loved the “family room” option and that dogs were welcome, even though we don’t have dogs. Staff were friendly. Beds were very comfortable. Views out of the giant windows were amazing.
The beautiful fireplace was located in the main lobby, making it hard to “relax by the fire“ reading, as I have in other resorts where they’re in another room. You hear 100% of noise from check-in and the open-air concept included the second floor resource center and the bar space & cafe style tables in the lobby directly next to check-in—all sharing the same open air design & sound travels. We had no noise issues in our bedroom-we just didn’t use any of these shared spaces again after we experienced noise. The amenities—hot tub, sauna—were located outdoors and it rained & was cold for most of our visit, so we didn’t use them, or the beach access as we’d planned. It rained the night of the bonfire. The weather isn’t the hotel’s fault, of course, but we didn’t use the hotel’s amenities and that was a large part of the reason we opted for a resort. We tried to book massages but I think we were out of season because we were referred to an off-site facility so didn’t ultimately pursue them.
Breakfast was fine
I wish we had known about the hot tub, we would have brought bathing suits. It was too rainy and chilly to go for a walk on the beach.
The hotel is new and the view is very beautiful. Our room overlooked the corner view. On the 1st floor. Facing the pool. The bedroom AC blows directly onto the bed. Being very sensitive to migraines related to the AC, we asked if it was possible to turn it off or have it turned off by their way. Answer duty night : unfortunately there’s nothing we can do. We had the same request in other places and they did it for the unit we were in from their installation outside the rooms…There’s also at least 6 heat pump units outside right under the the bedroom and it makes a lot of noise during the night. Good to know…We didn’t sleep all night and cut our stay short by one night. My head was so painful. We asked for a simple . Not even the full refund!! Just a 10 or 20% off would have been fair from the hotel manager. Too bad. Too much for them. We do a little of reviews and generally 99% of them are good and very good. Don’t stay at this hotel. It’s noisy at night. Corner room with view. SPECIAL THANK TO THE BREAKFAST LOVELY LADY. NICE CHOICE FOR BREAKFAST.Good to know, there’s no restaurant at the hotel and the restaurant FIN FILK FOOD FRUITS DE MER doesn’t offer any fresh seafood. Only burgers fries tacos… everything is fried and not good. But the staff is very nice.
The friendliness of staff was amazing. And how dog friendly they are was excellent! There was dog beds, toys and treats in our room; as well as a cute little towel folded to look like a dog in our room upon arrival!
A little more choice of snacks or food available in main hotel area.
breakfast was good, healthy options. Fin Folk was excellent. hotel was awesome, campfire under the stars great way to celebrate our anniversary. we will be back!
very muddy but out of your control! a lit path to the beach and a fan in the room would be nice
We had a perfect stay in the suite with balcony. The room and bathroom was spacious with large windows and beautiful views of the bay and ocean. The whole area is very pretty and peaceful. The hotel had just opened when we stayed, everyrhing was shiny and new. Personnel was great; friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice, and the Fin restaurant on site serves delicious meals for dinner. We went there almost every night.
I didn't like leaving!
The views and access to Blackbush Island were magnificent.
Nothing - everything was perfect.
