Pros +

  • Beautiful location
  • Staying in a cabin in the woods is a storybook experience. The history of being there since 1927 and managed with care by the grandson of the founder is so special. This is the best way to drop out of the chaos of life. I love AM walking down the canyon!!
  • Quiet location with access to Banff

Cons -

  • Blood stains on the sheets We asked to pay the extra money to get a room with the claw foot tub because I didn¿t realize ours didn¿t have a tub, but they told us they were all sold out¿the. We quickly realized the whole lodge was almost empty!!
  • I did not find anything I disliked.
  • Bare bones hotel accessories

Beautiful location. Privacy & quiet of the cabins. Adjacent hike

September is end of season so they stop ordering food. Restaurant was short on supplies. Cleaning is very basic. Clean linens & towels but dire need of dusting, floor washing, bathroom fixture scrubbing, grubby walls needed washing. $---/night!
