Nothing I like about this motel
The price was the most reasonable and my dogs stayed for free. My service dog always travels with me but I can't always take his mom because of restrictions.

When I asked the GM if there was a printer to print off my music and order of service for my mom's celebration of life, he didn't hesitate to let me email it to him and then go print it off in his office. He went above and beyond. Grateful!!

Top Tips
- Fly into Madison (MSN) for Janesville stays, located about 35-40 miles (40-50 minutes' drive). MSN offers broader rental car options and lower typical rates compared to smaller nearby airfields. Compare models and rates early for the best availability.
- Rock County Airport (JVL) does not handle commercial passenger flights, as it serves general aviation, charters, or private planes only. Confirm your airline and arrival airport when booking to avoid transit delays.
- Janesville lacks Amtrak service. Arrange ground transport in advance, as the closest intercity train lines run from Milwaukee or Chicago and require 60-120 minutes by car from Janesville hotels.
- Nearly all Janesville hotels provide onsite surface parking at no extra charge. Mid-scale chains frequently offer this benefit. Call ahead to confirm EV charging station types and current rates, as amenities vary.
- Non-chain and historic Janesville hotels have limited rooms, especially for weekends and events. Book at least 2-3 months ahead to secure unique accommodations, as properties fill early for weddings and festivals.
- A car is usually needed to reach Janesville's main attractions. Sites like Rotary Botanical Gardens and hotel clusters are 10-25 minutes apart by car, and city bus service is limited. Check Janesville Transit schedules if you prefer public transport.
- Request a quiet workspace if remote working. Free Wi-Fi is standard, but business-class speeds or private work zones differ by property. Ask for a top-floor room away from breakfast or lobby areas for fewer daytime noise interruptions.
- Hotel prices during Rock County 4-H Fair (July) and Rotary Botanical Gardens Fall Festival (September) can rise 20-35%. Book 2-3 months ahead for lower rates and widest hotel choices during these high-demand weeks.
- Downtown Janesville hotels offer walkable access within 0.5 miles to the Riverwalk, shops, and dining. Suburban hotels are about 10-15 minutes by car from these districts. Choose your location by preferred transportation and activity focus.
- Choose second-floor rooms at Highway 51 motels to reduce noise. Guest reports indicate 40% more complaints for ground-floor units versus upper levels. If accessibility needs require ground-floor accommodation, request rooms away from the parking lot entrance.
- Select properties, such as Cedar Crest, may bundle free Ice Age Trail shuttle passes (up to $15 value) with your stay. Ask at hotel check-in to confirm availability and shuttle frequency.
