Avalon Hotel & Conference Center

Pros +

• Fresh, clean, comfortable, newly remodeled
• I did not like anything totally disappointed did not want to stay there
• Rooms were all good.......

Cons -

• The place was under total renovation no pool no breakfast. It was a mess was not made aware before my reservation went off of pictures.
• I was traveling alone, a seventy year old woman with a small show dog. When I arrived at dark there was a newly renovated lobby and I was hopeful that my room would be close to it incase my dog needed to go out during the two nights I planned to stay. The room I was assigned was as far away from the lobby as possible.Parking was not well lighted and there were teenagers in groups in the hallways and men sitting outside the entry doors drinking and smoking.When I asked to be moved to a more secure area in the motel the attendant told me they were booked (though there were only 7 or 8 cars spread out in the parking lot Turns out they only had 11 rooms and the rest were being renovated) He did refund my money and help me find another accommodation when I told him I was going to sleep in my car at the dog show.
