Avid Hotel Corpus Christi - Portland by IHG

Staff was very friendly and polite.

Several times, we went to the front, and no one was there. There was a sign, but 20 min still no one appeared. Once someone came from outside, they came out.

We stayed about 8 months ago and that experience was completely great. This time, the lady checking us in was not welcoming at all. One elevator was out of service. The air in the hallway was rather warm. The room was clean for the most part. Trash can had beer liquid in it that hadn't been cleaned.

Good place to stay in Corpus Christi 5 minutes drive from North Beach.Small but clean rooms with mostly everything you need.Big modern TV with YouTube support. Free parking on site.

The main entrance location is weird. Most of the time you have to go in and out through the hardly opening narrow door in front of the building.No microwave oven, no coffee machine.

They had coffee available 24/7 and it was good coffee. Staff were friendly, rooms were good. They are very small rooms, but adequate for 2 people for 1 night that weren’t going to need much space. The whole place seemed pretty clean. Location is great for us, we have family that live in the area and you are about 5min away from them. The beds were pretty comfortable.

The main complaint is that the walls are thin. I am a very light sleeper and I hear everything. The room next door had a phone alarm set that vibrated and the vibration against the wall woke me. I even woke my husband and told him his phone alarm was going off and he said it wasn’t his, if that tells you anything.
