Best Western Plus Austin Central

The whole staff was really nice and smiling all the time. Location is great, closed to all the known places. Breakfast was good, complete, hot and delicious, it might be a good idea to have a dairy free milk option. I loved that it's pet friendly and the fee it's only $20 dollars.

Very old and outdated.

Nothing…Our room was filthy and had a very bad foul smoke odor. Bathroom was just horrible with lots of corrosion all over the place.

The from were outdated, dusty and horrible smell in the room. Stay one night and took off. Never again. I get it what you pay what you get in this case I learned my lesson.

Front desk staff was nice. Room was clean. The central location is pretty good considering no charge for parking, close enough to downtown without having to get on highway, etc... though the immediate area directly around hotel is 10% sketch but I didn't have any bad or scary run-ins. There's lots of great restaurants within short drive. There's an HEB grocery store about 5-10 minutes by car which was in a nice area. Hotel offered a free breakfast which was pretty standard but where this place stood apart was the free happy hour Sun-Thurs. Having been in so many hotels in a blur lately, this set this one apart as a nice way to wind down at the end of the day with a free beer (they also do cocktails). Had no issues with Wifi. Major props for having guest laundry washers and dryers from this decade AND having them run from cards and not needing quarters.

First time arriving it was kind of hard to identify from the street and I ended up missing the driveway and having to circle back, they should have better car eye-line signage visible from those turning in from Koenig St. Wish the gym had free weights since I tend to use light hand weights while on the treadmill but small issue overall. The gym was nicer than most.

The rooms are clean.

No exhaust air vent in restrooms felt very difficult after each use and breakfast only steak and pork no option of just egg. Also if they can add ceiling fans ot would be great.
