The Grand Vista Hotel and Suites is a 10-minute drive from the Fort Loudon State Historic Park. This hotel features an outdoor saltwater pool and serves a continental breakfast. Free Wi-Fi and cable TV are included in all of the rooms at this Vonore hotel. A microwave and small refrigerator are also provided, along with tea- and coffee-making facilities. Pros +
- Good clean room, comfortable bed, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. An overall great experience.
- Quiet, clean and they are updating. I believe my room was nicer than the one last year, same time frame.
- If you need a place to stay for one night and move on, it would be ok.
Cons -
- The new room fan was very loud. A new unit like that should have been quieter; turned it off to sleep. Breakfast was as minimal as possible. And like last year, the woman (owner?) is not social at all. Smile!!
- The first room they gave us hadn't been cleaned from the previous people who stayed there. Had to give us another room. It smells weird. Just been remodeled, but whoever done the work done a terrible job.
- The sink doesn?t drain; hardware on tub surround was loose. Light switch covers, wall fixtures don?t match.
