Barefoot Landing is 5.2 mi away. A children's pool, heated indoor pool, and indoor lazy river are on site as well as an additional hot tub. Avista Resort guests can also enjoy a 24-hour reception and a fitness center. A fully equipped kitchen, private balcony, and separate sleeping and living area are standard in each suite. Extras include a cable TV, DVD player, and free unlimited DVD rentals. Just Off Main serves American fare all day. The Art Deco-style Tree Top Lounge offers daily drink specials and pool tables while seasonal Poolside Grill Sip-N-Dip has sandwiches and cocktails. House of Blues Myrtle Beach is 5 mi from Avista Resort, while Main Street shops and restaurants are 5 minutes' walk away. Possum Trot Golf Club is 8 minutes' drive away.

- The location
- Pool and great access to the beach. The room was pretty great to.
- Liked location on the beach, to shops, restaurants, and parasailing. Bell hop and check in staff were great. Rooms were nice and clean, beds, pillows, and living room furniture were comfortable. Room and kitchen were well furnished and maids were very nice and helpful.
Cons -
- It’s just in need of a good cleaning remodel The furniture in the room had stains The carpet was pretty wore out and even a piece of gum or something in it
- There wasn't anything that I didn't like.
- The check in parking with one way in and out was circus/fiasco. Getting in and out of parking garage was always an adventure, barely enough room to pass, had to constantly stop a back up to let people through, thank goodness for the corner mirrors. The hallways with out air conditioning were miserable.
