MainStay Suites Florence - Darlington

I did not like anything about the hotel, it was under construction and none of the amenities that were on booking.com were on site. We didn't even stay 5 minutes in the room. There were no pots and pans to cook, the room had a hole in the bathroom door. the refrigerator was dirty, no towels hardly any toilet paper. The only light was the bedside lamp, we couldn't leave the drapes open cause we didn't feel safe. Two rooms down there was holes in the front door and there was not a safety lock on the door of our room. I would never recommend this hotel

I didn't like the fact that we didn't feel safe and decide to go to a better and clean hotel and when we spoke to the general manager he said that booking.com would give us a refund and that he couldn't do it. So I contacted booking.com and they would not give us a refund. It is terrible that booking.com is not showing the actual way the hotels are set up and gave a false description of the location.

I like nothing about this hotel. The towels dirty,bathroom nasty has roach, bath tub dirty, the whole room smells bad. I will never stay at a main stay again.

As stated above, nothing about that hotel is likable.

Leaving it and coming home. Location was good.

From the start there was no other cars in the parking lot when checking in the attendant was not talkative, no warm fuzzies. After circling the building more than once we got out and found our room. On the way to the room the trash cans were overflowing and the grounds were not clean either. We walked past the laundry that was out of service and past the small gym. Upon opening our door it smelled of stale smoke and it was a nonsmoking room. There was dirt and food crumbs on the floor. The comforter had food (noodle) and other dirt on it. I was surprised to see there were two bathrooms and thankfully there was. The bathroom connected to the bedroom was disgusting! It smelled of pee, lifted the wobbling seat to discover pee and pee all down the side and bottom of the toilet. Went to the other bathroom and it had the same wobbling seat but no pee. The bathtub/shower still had the last guest hair on the walls and I mean a lot of hair. The sink by that bathroom shot water out when using that ran down the counter and puddled on the floor. The couch and chair were not very clean either, not really surprising. This room has tons of potential but was not clean at all. Went to look at the pool and maybe sit beside it for fresh air, nope! That was nasty, brown water with stuff floating. Needless to say we made it through one night of our stay and left the next day, we had booked two nights.

Paint was peeling, shower was broken ,water came out the side of shower head water all over floor.no hot water in sink pillows to soft ,bet to hard. We won't talk about the disgusting pool. Breakfast is not a cheese man a bottle water and a twinkies in a brown paper bag.

the beds were so comfy. convenient location, good price

still under construction in some parts but that’s understandable! the pool should be open soon!

I always clean over any room me and my family visits this room was not properly cleaned. The location was about all that I liked

There were prostitution and drug users crawling all around the property. someone even vandalized my family vehicle

Quiet area and not a lot of people

Had a king suite and it didn¿t have all the kitchen ware. Asked front desk about it multiple times and no one took initiative to go and find the pans but they got us plates was all.
