The room was very spacious and extremely comfortable. The location was close to everywhere we wanted to visit. The bar was quite nice.
A single, small waste-basket for a large, spacious suite was disappointing. The check-in process could have been better, especially in the area of communication and attentiveness. We had to call each night to the front desk to replenish towels, coffee, toiletries, etc.

Great location and proximity to everything. Tucked away from major traffic.
After checking in, we get to our room to find that it’s not the master suite I’d booked for us many weeks prior. A sizable stain on the futon and hair in the bathroom and on the towels. My wife and I immediately went back to the desk to inform the attendant that we were given an incorrect and unclean room. To which we were told, “there isn’t a master suite available at this time but I can put you in another room and maybe there’ll be a master suite to open up tomorrow.” That particular attendant, I do not know her name, wasn’t very kind or personable and made us feel like an inconvenience. Which was kind of mind blowing considering the issue was the hotel’s fault for double booking our room, not ours. That being said, the next morning we came down to the desk to see if our correct room was available before heading out for the day. I do not remember the gentleman’s name who was working at that time, but he was so incredibly professional, understanding, apologetic, and helpful. He assured us that when we returned to the hotel, later in the day, our correct room would be ready for us. The following day, when we checked out, the lady we’d originally dealt with at check in was working along with a manager. Her attitude was a night and day difference… imagine that. I described our inconvenience and the situation to the manager and she gladly understood, apologized, and took a substantial amount off of our bill. I respected her for that and appreciated her effort to make it right. All that said, I’ve had worse experiences and it wasn’t a horrible stay. However, I’m not sure we’ll stay there again.

Building was fine. Restaurant menu was limited but food wwas quite good and reasonably priced.
Pool closed by the Charleston Dept of Health. No housekeeping service on second day. Says no smoking property but smokers on outdoor deck. Seemed like very low maintenance Wonder if for sale. Never stay there again. Di

The room was clean
was very disappointed. We didn't have hot water, the guy was sleeping on the couch when we tried to get snacks. We had to take the stairs because elevator was broke. Then to top it off, no breakfast in the morning because the cook didn't show up. For a $460 night stay, it sure didn't feel like I got my money's worth.

Very friendly staff responded quickly to all requests. Clean rooms. Liked the lobby layout. Conveniently located to everything.
The breakfast was cold if you didn’t go down early. I learned that lesson. The grits were hard not all creamy.

Did not have the breakfast buffet that was available. The hotel in general was nice, comfortable, large room. Easy parking, etc. Staff was mostly accommodating and pleasant. The patio area around the pool was very nice. I found the housekeeping staff to be among the most pleasant of all. The bar area was really nice, and bartenders, particularly Gabby, were great.
The hotel does NOT have a river or any water view. It is not near a river and when I asked a staff member, she confirmed. You would have to drive a bit to see. The pool was NOT heated as we were told when calling prior. And for future travelers - take note that the sun is over the pool in the morning, but from early afternoon on - it is not. And it was cold.Supplies left in our room were minimal. There were two paper coffee cups and maybe 3 little Keurig cups for two people who were staying 4 days. If we asked for anything we were told to come down to the front desk. There is no type of room service. In these areas, esp. those in warm climates - it would be nice to see a small whiteboard or something at the front desk to see the daily weather forecast, or other area mentions. There was no type of concierge which I did not expect anyway. Front desk people were pleasant but maybe not as informed.Would I recommend this place? Sure. Would I stay again? Unsure.
