Cons -
- The location isn't great but that can't be helped.
- Cheap breakfast.
- Didn’t realize the room was equipped with kitchen, washer dryer which we didn’t need. It didn’t have a closet or drawers for our clothes. A little cramped. Nice balcony.

This place was immaculate and extremely unique.
Interesting grand Victorian style
Didn’t realize the room was equipped with kitchen, washer dryer which we didn’t need. It didn’t have a closet or drawers for our clothes. A little cramped. Nice balcony.
We enjoyed the Victorian decor throughout the home, and the included breakfast was exceptional. Our room was large and had a gas fireplace which, on a cold morning, was much appreciated. There were books and magazines in various places and a nice room-sized fridge that even had a usable freezer section.
I am a disabled vet and had trouble lugging all our stuff up a rather extensive grand staircase. No elevator. I had not informed the host of my disability, so it was my own fault. Plus, my wife and I travel like a small circus with way more luggage and stuff than most folks would expect for a two-night stay. A couple who packed more sensibly would have had less trouble with the lugging of luggage.
Very warm and welcoming! Great breakfast in a relaxed but elegant dining room. Pat is such an interesting and caring hostess.
If you are looking for a an amazing experience don’t look further. The house, the rooms, the amenities are five star luxury. The owner, who has been a model in NYC her whole life, takes care of her guests and the house in a spectacular way. The room/bathroom were immaculate, the breakfast outstanding and the house and interior has so much charm.
This is a classic B&B . Beautiful home, like staying in a museum !. Pat the owner was awesome, accommodating and informative. She made you feel very welcome, like you were staying with family or with an old friend. The house itself is full of beautiful art and antiques and very well appointed for a comfortable stay. The grounds are beautiful, with tasteful landscaping and a hot tub. You cannot beat the value, all of the rooms are beautiful and unique in their own way, you can't go wrong with any of them. The breakfast was great! not just coffee and pastries but a full out breakfast in a beautiful dining room with a cozy fire roaring. It was great to talk with the other guests during our breakfast, we all stayed for almost an hour talking after. With the new era of Air B&B and VBRO this Inn is a breath of classic fresh air that is hard to find today. My wife forgot her jewelry and Pat ( after trying to contact us) made arrangements to ship to us right away. This is the best stay in the area by far, close to Falling Water and the beautiful park. Go, you will love it.
The town that it was in did not offer much, but we did not expect anything , we had just visited Falling Water.
Great historic mansion repurposed as an Inn. We had a suite with a separate entrance and kitchenette, which was great for our stay since we had to be up and out each day before breakfast was served. The owner/host Pat was very friendly and helpful with tips about where to eat en route between Fallingwaters and Polymath Park.
Pat is the star of the manor. She is kind, easy, helpful, and just a great host. She showered us with travel advice on the area, stories of the manor and the family who used to live there, and shared about her journey as a host. We had a great time with her. She welcomed with cookies. The bread pudding for breakfast was excellent. We had breakfast in the garden. The place is beautiful, it looks like a museum. Amenities are top level, with two hot tubs, one in the suite and one outside. Magnificent balcony with table and chairs. Free coffee and refreshments. Plenty of parking. You name it. You got it.
Be prepared for vintage furniture and amenities. We had some trouble with the toilet clogging, though it solved on its own. It's a great place if you're traveling by car, otherwise transport options are limited.
The ambiance, the antiques, the stories Pat told about it all were AMAZING.
Everything was great!
We had an absolutely amazing stay at South Broadway Manor! The accommodations were incredibly beautiful, as well as comfortable, providing the perfect mix of charm and modern convenience. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcomed Pat the owner went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Her graciousness and attention to detail really made the experience stand out. It’s clear that she puts a lot of love and care into this place. We can’t wait to return! Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a cozy welcoming getaway.
The property is absolutely gorgeous.! The room was very clean and cozy. Love all the details to make it feel like home. Breakfast in the amazing dining room was so good. Pat was so sweet and the tour of the mansion was great! We will definitely make this our normal stopping point as we are making our trips to Virginia!
Lovely historic B&B in a rural setting near Pittsburgh. Proprietor, Pat, arrived to welcome us and give us the lay of the land after easy self check-in. As we were going to miss breakfast the next morning, she had left us delicious seasonal fruit cups for the morning, as well as homemade cookies. Accommodations were 2-bedroom apartment in the Guesthouse and were both spacious and comfortable. Pat was very responsive to our pre-arrival questions, and provided helpful tips for restaurants in local area.
Not a game-changer, but availalbe television channels did not allow us to tune to Stanley Cup finals on TNT.
special collection of historic furnishings and the stories about the home were fantastic. Beautiful wood work throughout the place.
we had one of the original bathrooms that was in the house, separate from our room in the hallway. Bathroom had a clawfoot bathtub, hard to get in and out, no walk-in shower. Several of the other rooms had modern bath room that were added to the historic house. Beautiful tile and features, historically preserved.
Carefully restored with lots of history. Thoughtful amenities like a special turban towel for wet hair, and a flashlight on a bedside table. Interesting antiques and a very comfortable bed.
I would have liked a discreet grab bar or rail or something to get in and out of the charming clawfoot tub/shower. I was only there for one night so it didn't really bother me to do without a shower, but I'm older and less agile than I used to be.
Beautiful home. Amazing hospitality that exceeded our expectations. You can tell Pat is passionate about the home, and has many stories on its history. Breakfast was made fresh from scratch every morning and was delicious. Pat was so sweet and made sure we had breakfast covered since we missed out on breakfast on our last day due to an early flight. If we ever find ourselves in this area again we will definitely re-book with her. She really makes it feel like you are at home.
Seriously nothing. Everything was amazing.
Excellent host and breaktwas delicious! Everything was accomodating and loved the outdoor patio!!! Highly recommend.
PAT HAS CREATED A BEAUTIFUL STAY AT THIS HISTORIC PROPERTY. SHE IS CHARMING AND ENGAGING MAKES YOU FEEL VERY WELCOME.
The breakfast though was quite mediocre. at best It was a slice of quiche which was not very tasty and a danish which really was more like a frozen or instant pre-made thing heated up. In other words not a fresh quality pastry. That's was it. Not a piece of fruit in sight. We are used to high caliper breakfasts at B&B's of this price range and look forward to it. The breakfast was more what you would see at a low budget hotel.
