Hyatt House Pittsburgh South Side

The best part about this hotel is the location. You are close to many stores, restaurants and attractions and close to the heart of the city. Our view of the river was awesome and we were able to see coal barges go by. The hotel is also near walking/running trails on the river.

The overall design of the room was very stark and sterile. While this is a current design trend, I think Hyatt has taken it too far. There is no where to park outside of the hotel to check in, so we had to pull into the garage to even park. The elevator to get to the check in was broken, so we had to lug our bags up two flights of stairs to the check-in desk. Anyone with a disability would have had an issue. Elevator was broken the entire time we were there. More onsite parking needs to be added for busy weekends, as the garage filled up on Friday night. There was a hot breakfast with some healthy options.

The room was spacious and clean. The area was very dog friendly.

Our room was right above the event patio ( a wedding reception with band played there all evening until 10:30p.m.) They were extremely loud. The staff should have informed us of this and asked us if we wanted to change rooms! The bathroom could have used an exhaust fan also as mirrors steamed up quickly. Hotel parking $22/day plus tax was a bit excessive.

The hotel was within walking distance to food and shopping. The view from our room overlooked the river and was gorgeous. Staff was friendly and helpful.

very thin toilet paper, no real cream in fridge for coffee,only 2 spaces out front to unload, and parking spaces at back were VERY tight and parking was full

Good location and decent facilities. Breakfast was ok.

Expensive onsite parking. Beds were uncomfortable

Location is very nice, on the south side of the river, right on the river banks. There's a Three river Heritage park along riverside, pretty and quiet. Staffs are very friendly. You pay for the parking, but it's a very nice garage. Breakfast is simple, but there are plenty of choices.

Everything was clean and breakfast was good and well stocked. Hotel was quiet in the evenings and beds/pillows very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful.

There was no nightlight option in the bathroom. Having the efficiency was great but the island in the middle of the kitchen area is large and takes up some much needed room to move around in the room. Coffee was not so great but available to guests during the day. Parking spaces were crazy tight and required much maneuvering to park in and out of the garage under the hotel.
