The Franklin on Rittenhouse, A Boutique Hotel

The room was spacious and clean. The location's proximity to Rittenhouse was great, we were able to explore the area on foot. And the lobby dog was adorable.

The room was directly under a staircase (no elevator at the hotel) and we were woken several times in the night by guests stomping up and down the stairs. Also, the room was at street level so that was an extra layer of noise. The hotel bar was not accessible through the hotel, you had to exit the front door, walk several doors over, and then enter the bar which was truly inconvenient. There was no minibar in the room, and none of the clocks were set to the right time. For the price, this did not meet my expectations in any way.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast which was included was fine.

My room was right next to the elevator which meant a lot of noise. The carpet in the room was stained. The lighting was abysmal and I was glad that I had brought my Kindle because the reading sconces were too weak.

It was a nice, clean, affordable room in a great area

Our only complaint was that the TV was on the wall to the left instead of being in front of you. Nothing terrible but you had to lay on your left side to watch tv

There were some unexpected costs. Was under the impression from reviews and from internet research that breakfast was complimentary. Thought that all costs were covered, but my card was charged £60 the morning we left.

Booked based on the boutique classification and property photos, but was disappointed with the property as a whole. Room had no individual temperature control and was too hot to comfortably sleep. Murals are nice, but the hotel lacked an attention to detail that those of us who were attracted to the aesthetic missed.

From the moment I arrived, this charming hotel exceeded my expectations. Its location is ideal—within easy walking distance to great attractions, restaurants, and shops—making it perfect for exploring the area without the need for constant transportation. The rooms were a highlight: stylishly decorated, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped, offering the perfect mix of elegance and coziness. I especially appreciated the small touches, like complimentary coffee and water available throughout the day.

Location is great

There were too many stairs, and this was not written anywhere. The building is two joined buildings and there stairs in corridors, and there is no lift to 3rd floor. You have to carry suitcases. The bar of the hotel is a speakeasy but it was booked with regulars, hotel customers do not have a priority.

The location was central and in a nice neighborhood. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Very nice breakfast, and amenities.

breakfast was all it needed to be, varied, fresh, & tasty. The location of the hotel is perfect, quiet street yet within a block of Ritt Sq. Nice roomy room & the quietest hotel I can ever remember.

water pressure ... if I have to nitpik ( no biggie really )

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was very nice and comfortable. Great location.

Shower and tub. Very weak water pressure. Glad I went out for breakfast - I was surprised they included free continental breakfast but it was pretty bare bones.
