Ideally located along in Lexington, Black Bear Lodge offers free WiFi access. An array of activities can be enjoyed on-site or in the surroundings, including skiing, cycling and fishing. Scenic views can be enjoyed from each guest room. Select rooms are equipped with a full kitchen. The holiday home has an outdoor dining area. There are gardens on the property grounds at the Lexington Black Bear Lodge. A shared lounge area and a ski pass vendor are also available. Windham Mountain is 12 mi away and Hunter Mountain is 11 mi away.

Pros +

Friendly staff, basic rooms but nice. Clean room (minus a little dust). Nice creek behind the place. Exactly what my and my wife needed for a hiking weekend.
Old school catskills charm. No frills but friendly service.
The Black Bear Inn was well located for my travels throughout the Catskills. The owner could not have been nicer. The room was spotless and well maintained. The bed and bedding were modern, fresh and comfortable.

Cons -

My wife thought the bed was uncomfortable, but sheÂ¿s picky (hopefully she doesnÂ¿t see this).
The TV is positioned in a way that we couldn't watch the tv from our beds
The room had a fridge but no microwave,one was available in the lobby area. The Inn is like a time-warp to the 1950s-60s. It wasn't a problem for me, I enjoyed the trip down memory lane, but if you want modern and pristine this is not the place for you.
