Days Inn by Wyndham Alamogordo

Pros +

• Frontdesk guy take care of our problema and help us on the sport
• Room interior had new coat of paint, updated bathroom sink area, and new decor, but overall property is quite old. It matches what you expect from the star rating and guest rating; just needed a place to sleep after day in White Sands NP.
• Staff helped me lift up my crippled wife back into the bed, whom had fallen into the floor while I was gone on an errand. The two housekeepers went above and beyond normal work, and hopefully the Days Inn could give them bonuses.

Cons -

• Despite new paint, structural issues--vent in the bathroom was hanging off the ceiling, shower was very low pressure, door had visible gap between door and doorframe.
• Breakfast orange juice tasted terrible, as though it had not been refrigerated.
• When I first entered the hotel office, I was met with a strong cannabis weed smell. The drug is legal in NM, so I guess I should expect that. Cleaning service didn't empty our trash nor straighten the room.
