The Surf Club

EXCEPTIONAL stay at the Surf Club. Positively one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. Everything is new—the staff, Todd, courteous and invaluable. We woke up early and watched the sunrise, a short walk to the beach. Parking was easy to find. The bed was super comfortable. The shower was brand new. So good, I am going back next month!!

Very nice location since it's right next to beach. Very comfortable and bright atmosphere. Staff was outstanding and is very willing to accommodate you. Bed was outstanding and the large TV is nice. Private climate controls and a hair dryer for my partner was great

Shower was warm just wish it was a little bit better that being said during the summer time its not a big deal. Walls are a little thin but that's not the biggest deal breaker maybe decorative sound proofing panels placed around the room will resolve that problem and add even more depth to room. Sheets had a few light stains when looking at them on arrival. White sheets are white sheets so it's gonna happen but maybe use a little more bleach lol.

No communication at all. They try to run the place without any front desk and just send you information emails. Thats lazy and poor customer service, we were constantly confused as to if we had free parking or not, didn’t get a placard till the next day, didn’t know where to park once we got it half way into the second day and paying for overnight. Also with their being no front desk, one would think that they would answer their phones but no. They don’t answer their phones unless you call them two or three times spread out. Also if you change anything on the AC unit with the remote. It will turn off the Roku TV.

Great location and pretty room. Very nice staff and loved the keyless access and the king bed. The shower was wonderful.

There was no place to hang clothes. Shows one in the picture but we didn’t have that. For a premium price this is a must have. So space is limited with all our bags having to be out. There was no chair either.

the property looks like its abandoned. I had to go to another hotel across the street to find out if the hotel is even opened. i thought I was being scammed. The other hotel told me you have to check in at the property next door. Ok fine. when i went to check in no one was at the desk so i called the number on the door. i finally was able to check in. The outside property needs some attention. Looks like the remodeled the rooms but on the outside there were nails on the ground and the railings on the steps need to be replaced. The beds were ok. There were no trash cans in the room so we had to use a paper bag we had. the waster pressure sucked! it trickled out. Rooms were clean and decor was nice but for the price they charge (400.00 a night on a weekend) i would not return. waste of money!

The rooms are very nice and the location is excellent. They give you beach tags. You also have access to a nearby pool. The managers and the desk attendant at the forum (Justin) tried to be very accommodating.

I never received any instructions about check in or parking. When I arrived, I had to check in at a different property where the front desk person couldn’t tell me where to park. I ended up paying for parking because the parking instructions were vague and I didn’t want to be ticketed and then I dragged my bags 3 blocks back the room. There’s no front desk at the Surfside property. I had no idea where my room was or how to enter it because the property is keyless. A manager escorted me to my room because he heard me asking construction workers where I should go. When we got to the room, I literally had to step over a Dewalt power tool left in the doorway to enter my room (the property is under construction). There was no running water, coffee machine, iron, etc. Barebones room. Ended up moving to a different property at 10pm in a thunderstorm because rain was the only water we had access to at this face-lifted motel. I paid $325 for a one night stay. They offered me one additional free parking pass (which initially I was told I’d be charged for). Check in wasn’t until 4 and check out is at 10 am, so while they offer beach tags, you don’t really have time to use them.
