- The location was perfect! Downtown was walking distance. It was very clean! Liked the breakfast!

Cons -
- The only thing I didn't like was that we asked for some toothpaste and it never made it to the room.
- The cost for my stay was jacked up for the weekend- would've been more cost effective elsewhere. I always stayed here in previous trips to support local business and the fact that it is so close to my son's place whom I travel from Hawaii. It already costs me an arm and a leg just to get here, so I was always pleased with the cost of my stay at Royal Oak Hotel, however, this time I was rather disappointed with some of the changes- I understand the price increases- however, the cost effectiveness is going to make me re-think my stay the next time I come to visit (Royal Oak Hotel was my immediate go to every time... which is probably my 5th+ time)There used to be a free coffee bar and complimentary breakfast sandwich next door...no more. (disappointing)There is a continental breakfast set up until 10am to which I enjoyed the free coffee and the banana. (disappointing)Other than that, the staff is friendly and accommodating and it's still clean. The fire pit area has been upgraded a little. Overall it was ok (which used to be very impressive considering)
