Review summary
The hotel boasts an excellent location, allowing easy access to nearby attractions, which many guests appreciated. However, several reviews highlighted maintenance issues, such as weak water pressure, mold, and cleanliness concerns, detracting from the overall experience. While the building's charm and recent redecorations were noted positively, guests expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of amenities and parking difficulties.

The location was great and it was easy to access. You could watch parades from the balcony.
Bed or brick, they were the most uncomfortable beds, and my dad cut his foot on a piece of glass in his bedroom, the AC also did not work well. The showers pour water into the floors.

The location was excellent. We were located in the French quarter and in any direction you went was something on our sightseeing list. The atmosphere was great, the property had been nicely maintained considering for how dated it is.
The air conditioning in one of our bedrooms was not functioning and the summer heat in N.O is relentless. Thankfully, we had brought a bedside fan. The light in our bedroom would turn on and off spontaneously which was slightly disruptive when sleeping.

Location was great & I felt pretty safe
Somethings need upgraded. I was scared to break the sink drawer in the bathroom and my husband and I felt like just rolling over in bed would break it. Some added hooks in the bathroom would be nice for towels. My son is rather tall and he was laughing about how low the bathroom knob is. Would be nice if you could partner with the hotel next door for parking. The lot next door would be perfect!

The location was great.
There was a mouse infestation. We saw at least 7 mice while there (in counters, on floor, under the bed). We woke to mice droppings all over the previously clean kitchen counter. We also found mouse droppings on the fold out bed/sofa after our child had slept on it! The biggest problem is that when staff was alerted their response was “there are no pests” in the building. They didn’t inspect our unit and stopped responding after that. Also, The noise was incredibly loud. We were placed in the first floor room by the street near the loud door closing at all hours of the day and night. One would expect some loud drunken people on the street (and there was that) being that it’s New Orleans, but there was also a ton of other loud noises. There was loud banging early morning on the first day on the window shutters which were still unsure to its origins. There was construction above us another morning (someone was even using a table saw up there). The rooms were as light as day due to street lights all night long. The shutters are sealed shut so there is no view or balcony as advertised. Instead you are in a boarded up room and the only access in/out is the front door. Also, The water takes 10 min to warm up.

The location was great. Close to everything.
Our air conditioner went out on the first night. The bathroom tiles where cracked and the toilet was sinking into the first floor. The toilet seat was broken and was never fixed despite letting the owners know. The beds could have used a mattress topper. The two fans that where in the space where broken and never replaced. Thankfully we got a new air conditioner.

Beautiful hotel. Embodies everything the French Quarter is and more.
No parking. Staff was not present and the communication via email was a bit irritating

Location is great.
House keeping services. Room sizes. Loud noises of water pipes in the room. Rat was seen in the room.

The only thing this place offers is a good location.
it was very dirty and the accommodations were not as described at all. There was no heat! Numerous things were broken or in very poor condition, such as the light fixture knobs, faucet, television, and air conditioners/fan. They charge a $100 cleaning fee but it looks like it had been a long time since it had a thorough cleaning. Some of the bedding was dirty and we found trash under the beds. The staff was not present and I messaged several times and never got a response.
