Pros +

  • The heater in the room worked well! The night I stayed, the weather was cold, windy, and snowy. The nighttime temperature was below zero (-4 F). Thank heavens for the great heating system.
  • Location was great
  • Really like their fridge! It has a freezer section nearly the size you see in an apartment! Great for summer travel. The rooms are clean, pillows smell good and hot water!

Cons -

  • The sink was nearly plugged, so I used the tub faucet to wash my hands. Also, the sink faucet had limited water output, however since I had to use the bath faucet, it did not matter. Also, the plug-in near the sink did not work.
  • no breakfast--not even a donut
  • I wished they had a coffee maker in the room. I understand not having breakfast (given the value and the no-frill type of hotel) but would be nice to have coffee.

I have always enjoyed the Motel 6 simplicity. Tom Bodett's commercial is correct. The room was clean, the water was hot, the pillows smelled good, plenty of parking, and the price was affordable.
As with all the Motel 6 that I have stayed, I wish they had a coffee maker in the room. Also, at least a simple breakfast (they do not have breakfast). The refrigerator had no freezer. I wished it did, especially for the summer months.
