The hotel is praised for its excellent, central location with easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and public transport, complemented by spacious, comfortable rooms and well-appointed amenities. Guests highlight the friendly, professional, and attentive staff, as well as the high-quality hotel facilities and excellent dining options on-site. Great location and clean comfortable rooms. Staff were all very friendly
I was left feeling quite annoyed by the breakfast set up. On booking.com the options are breakfast included or breakfast not included, we chose to prepay for breakfast but actually you only receive a credit towards breakfast. So its not included. Each day breakfast ended up costing us an extra $20. You would have had very few options on the menu to not pay extra, one main breakfast item plus a coffee takes you over the allowance. I've stayed in hotels all over the world and if breakfast is served, we always pay for it. This is the first time I've had to pay extra money. It left me feeling very disappointed and frankly ruined the breakfast experience. One of the best parts of staying in a hotel in my opinion is simply walking downstairs to be served breakfast and this system spoils the experience for me. I will stay elsewhere on my next visit and hopefully they won't try to get extra out of me for a breakfast I think I've already paid for. It either included or it's not..

The location is unbeatable, overlooking the tribune tower and wrigley building. The rooftop was great to hang around even though of the cold weather. The room and its amenities were awesome. Large windows on these great views. Comfortable bed and spacious bathroom (at least in the room we picked). Adding to that a nespresso coffee machine not these cheap drip coffee hotel ones.
The breakfast. I was under the impression while making the booking that it will be a breakfast buffet. However, we were handed 20 dollar vouchers each to use at a particular restaurant on the ground floor. If I knew beforehand I would have not paid these extra 40 dollars (breakfast vouchers for two) and had the freedom to have breakfast anywhere or even the same downstairs restaurant.

overall stuff was very friendly, especially in bar/lounge area. great location, you can walk pretty much anywhere from there. rooftop also has great view, but unfortunately it was too cold to enjoy it
booked room with vista king room, during check-in receptionist said that they don't have it available and they can only give that room next day. next day they told me same story that room not available and should be ready for me next day. so in the the end I paid ~$1300 for expensive room and half of the stay had room which was twice cheaper. and as "compensation" got $60 bar credit... sounds like a poor "compensation"

I loved everything about this place and would 100% stay here again. The location, the rooms, the lobby, everything. Food options in and around although not included were great, and the hotel is right in the middle of everything. Only stayed a night but would love to go for a longer stay if im in Chicago again.
Parking is way too expensive but what did i expect its downtown chicago lol

loved the size of the room very beautiful with great views, however, would like a room where the bathroom door is not next to the bed, does not provide enough privacy in the bathroom, not very romantic that way, the room was a excellent size. The cleaners did a poor job of cleaning, we did not have our room cleaned the first day to save the staff and we did our best, on the third day we had it cleaned, room did not look as fresh as it could or spell fresh, found areas had not been cleaned off and not vacuumed carpet.

Great location. Ideal for first time visitor to Chicago. Easy walk to magnificent mile, art institute and riverwalk. The hotel makes an immediate impact- lovely old building, spotless, stylish and much better than usual Hilton corporate averageness. Room outstanding- spacious, attractive, great views of Chicago River. Good choice of bars, casual and more formal dining. Staff attentive and pleasant always.
Nothing at all.
