Conveniently located in the center of Grangeville, the Downtowner Inn provides guests with traditionally decorated air-conditioned rooms. Free WiFi access is offered at the motel. A cable TV, a refrigerator, and a microwave are featured in each guest room here. The private bathrooms boast a bath or shower and free toiletries. Vending machines and daily maid services are available at the Downtowner Inn for extra convenience. Free parking is also offered. A number of restaurants and bars can be reached within 5 minutes’ walk of the motel. Nez Perce National Forest is 20 minutes’ drive away.

Pros +

Quiet and affordable
We have stayed here 3 times before. The location is perfect for our trips from one state to another. There is plenty of hot water with good pressure. The room was warm on a chilly night and the bed was comfortable. I can book late and it is available.
The location works for us as a midpoint in our travels. It is easy to get to. The heater works and the shower is hot and has good pressure.

Cons -

The rooms are old and everything doesn't always work (in our room this time: one light and the deadbolt). The drinking water cups are not individually covered, so that's a little iffy. The rooms just have a regular key and the desk guy has to wait up.
Run down not up to date carpet had stains there was also a hole in the wall.
We have stayed at this location 2-3 times before. We know it is old and rundown, but the accommodations work fine for us (bed, shower, fridge, friendly staff). This time, unfortunately, the desk manager was drunk and bleeding all over from his cut finger.
