Pros +
- The hotel rates are typically lower than most competitors
- The location (proximity to Volcano NP) was perfect. I liked that the property was back off the road a bit in the jungle setting.
- Meeting Staff nd learning about the area from a genuine local.
Cons -
- You could be charged and not allowed to stay. I paid for two nights, but was denied to check in by myself only or by my family. The owner was rude and told me it's rebooked. He just wanted to collect money for same room twice since it's non-refundable.
- Things in the shared kitchen were not very clean. You wash up your own dishes and the dish cloth had a nasty, old musty odor.
- Bathroom could use a floor mat for getting in and out of the tub.
