About
Located 2-miles off of I-95, this historic Mystic hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi, a restaurant, and individually-designed guest rooms that feature Tuft & Needle mattresses and work desks. The Mystic River Bascule is around the corner, along with numerous shops, restaurants and pubs. Dark wood furnishing and plush bedding are featured in each room at Mystic Whaler’s Inn. Select rooms feature a fireplace. The Whaler’s Inn is located a half mile from Mystic Seaport Museum of America and the Sea and the Mystic Aquarium is a mere 6-minute drive. The property will be undergoing exterior renovations starting in January, with expected completion in March 2023. All guest facilities will still be available, and we will do our best to ensure the updates do not greatly impact the stay of our valued guests.

- Location was fantastic for my first trip to Mystic. Room itself great w bathtub. Restaurant was amazing- must go. Staff took my suitcase up to the 3rd floor for me on request, and back down again when I checked out- there is no elevator in Hoxie House.
- Incredible location. Helpful staff.
- Everyone was so sweet & kind. I loved watching the town wake up in the front lobby while I sipped my coffee. Then having breakfast next door was LOVELY. I want the recipe for their biscuits!
Cons -
- You can only get the room cleaned on special request. The checkin is 3pm and checkout is 11am. This is more standard after COVID but I wish it was closer to noon checkin and out.
- I would have preferred almond milk verses oat milk in the hotel coffee bar.
- My only ? was in the dining room, I asked for a little extra syrup for my pancakes and they charged me $2.00 extra I thought that was ridiculous and very unfair. ¿¿
