Ventura Beach House Motel

Pros +

• Room was clean and pleasant. Had small fridge and microwave. Location is great. I came to ventura to surf Ventura Point. A 4-min drive away (or could have walked, 1.2 miles, but was short on time).
• It was close proximity to the beach and the festival I was working at.
• The ladies at check in nice

Cons -

• The checkin office was a bit off putting, having a glass window to the receptionist (vs a typical face-to-face front desk). I don't know, maybe they've had issues with safety??? Otherwise, the motel did it's job and I had a cheap, convenient surf trip.
• The staff was rude as they possibly could be they charged us $90 when we checked in, I was under the impression that I had paid for it when I booked it. Then required a $20 cash deposit for the key, who requires cash nowadays? And I got bitten by somethi
• It was in a shady region. Large bus in parking lot. A man was hanging outside by one of the doors watching people. The room smelled strongly of disinfectant which I suppose is good. Bathroom tiles didn¿t seem clean. Mattresses uncomfortable .
