Good location and easy to find - Warm welcome on arrival and the staff had all been very nice

The room was dated and in need of a good update. In addtional to a "musty smell"

The room was spacious and allowed us to move around freely. The location was also very easy to find.

The amenities could have been better.

The hotel has a few clear advantages. It is located very close to the beach, which is convenient, and the neighborhood feels safe and calm - there were no homeless people around, which is a big plus. Room cleaning was decent and done regularly.

However, there are quite a few downsides. There are no good grocery stores or pharmacies nearby, which makes daily logistics inconvenient. The rooms feel worn out, and the towels are old. The hotel does not have its own cafe or restaurant, and there are almost no decent places to eat in the surrounding area.The biggest disappointment, which completely ruined my overall impression, happened after check-out. The day after I left, the hotel charged me an additional $10. When I called the hotel, I was told this was for the water in the room. At no point during check-in, nor anywhere in the room, was there any information that the two bottles of water were not complimentary. In a regular store, this water costs about $1 per bottle, but the hotel charged $5 per bottle.This lack of transparency is extremely disappointing. Because of this experience, I will not return to this hotel and cannot recommend it to others.
