Hotel Figueroa oozes with character and charm. I had several meetings in the restaurants and lobby with guests staying at well know high end and much more expensive hotels. They all commented how amazing the hotel is.My room was spacious and very comfortable.

Only one elevator worked.Workout room is too small and needs more equipment

The bathroom light turns off automatically and every morning I showered, the last half was in the dark. Cannot reach the light switch without leaving the shower

The only thing was there was a constant noise from the fridge which I thought from the drainage.Only realized in the morning on the check out day.. it affected my sleeping.

The location is good. You can walk to the hotel from 7th Street metro in under 5 mins. There are a couple of supermarkets the vicinity. The pool looked nice, though we didn’t have time to use it. Bottega Louie is only three blocks away.

Our room had no view.

Overall, the hotel was good – clean and well-located.

However, a major downside was the unexpected destination fee, which wasn’t mentioned during the booking process. On Booking.com, all taxes and charges – including city tax, resort fee, standard tax, and government tax – were already included, so I was surprised to be charged an additional Destination Fee upon arrival. This fee ended up being about one-third of the total cost of my reservation, which felt excessive and disappointing. The justification was that it covers coffee, the pool, and some other facilities – none of which we actually used. Honestly, this explanation was a bit ironic, considering the price.Another downside was the view from the room – it directly faced another building with hotel rooms, so we had to keep the curtains closed all day to maintain any sense of privacy.Additionally, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly, which made the room uncomfortably warm at times, especially during the night.
