This Bavarian-style lodge offers both guest rooms and cottages. A seasonal outdoor pool and hot tub are available for guests, and all rooms or cottages offer free WiFi. Big Bear Lake Village is 10 minutes' walk away. A fireplace and a satellite TV is available in each guest room at the Black Forest Lodge. Guests can also enjoy both garden and mountain views. Some rooms also boast spa baths and refrigerators. A volleyball court, basketball court, children’s playground, and barbecue facilities are included at this family-friendly lodge. An on-site Nail Salon offering pedicures and manicures available for guest relaxation. Big Bear Lake is less than 10 minutes’ walk from The Lodge Black Forest. - The owners are very down to earth and got to our room in only a few minutes late at night to fix the tv. Very friendly also!
- The hotel was located near town so everything was convenient, the staff was friendly and inside the lobby was decorated for Halloween. Felt Cozy
- the bed was comfortable,the people were very nice,in a good area
Cons -
- Something?s need to be updated so it looks nicer/cleaner which the owner (recently purchased the property) talked about doing.
- Only thing I did not care for is that the walls are thin and the couple next door knocked on the wall to tell us to be quiet when talking. Not very comfortable staying in the hotel like rooms, rent a cabin in the property. Bed Squeaked but over all comfy!
