Pros +

  • The location was central to my activities, on Whiskey Row, downtown Prescott. Steve was one of the most helpful hotel employees I've ever encountered. I appreciated the free public parking garage behind the hotel. (The stairs down to the back door were steep and narrow, though.) There were many restaurants within walking distance to choose from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there was coffee available in the room. Lots of art galleries and shops to meander through along the street.
  • This hotel was beautiful and right in the heart of Prescott. It's such an old hotel, but has been upgraded, obviously with some of the the old charm still mixed in. We were able to walk everywhere from our hotel. It was just perfect. Also, the hotel staff was very friendly. We arrived a little earlier than check-in and they had our room ready for is to leave our bags in.
  • I love the location and the detail of the room to keep it authentic to a historical boutique hotel.

Cons -

  • You do need to climb some pretty steep stairs to access your room. Not bad, but if you've got a large or heavy suitcase, it could be awkward. And parking on the street in front of the hotel to unload your luggage is iffy.
  • I didn't like that we were only there for one night. The king size bed was so comfortable. Next time we'll stay longer, for sure.
  • It was exceptionally clean with a great location.
