Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Springdale

Pros +

• Remodeled facilities, clean and friendly staff. The stay was quiet.
• Convenient location with plenty of restaurants nearby. The bed was very comfortable with big, soft pillows. There was a nice sized kitchenette. The weather got cold the night I was there, but the heater kept my room comfortable.
• The hotel overall was nice - the cleanliness was great and everything looked well maintained in our room. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room itself was spacious and comfortable.

Cons -

• the reception cant locate my reservation. it take me 3 hours to check in at the counter.
• There were a few issues with my room. The top of the refrigerator had a thick layer of dust. There was what appeared to be a sticky, child's handprint on the microwave. The lotion container needed to be wiped down and the body wash in the shower was completely empty. Minor details, and nothing bad enough that I felt the need to contact the front desk, but definitely things that housekeeping should be more attentive to.
• There was a very strong air freshener smell that was a bit overwhelming and made it hard to relax, and a constant noise through the night from above us that sounded like someone rolling a chair or cart across the floor. It went on late into the night and started again very early in the morning, which made it difficult to rest. Also, when we went down for breakfast, there wasn’t much of anything left, which was disappointing. With a little improvement in those areas, it would have been an excellent stay.
