This motel is 1.5 miles from the University of Alaska Anchorage. The motel features a free summer shuttle service to and from the airport and other downtown destinations. Merrill Field Inn has cable TV and free wired internet in every guest room. Free local calls are also included. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi in all guest rooms and in the lobby at the Merrill Field. Laundry facilities and free on-site parking are also available. The Imperial Palace restaurant at the Merrill serves American and Chinese cuisine.

Cons -
- Pretty much all of it. Our hotel smelled of mildew and smoke, the front desk staff except the one we checked in with was rude. The air conditioner was so loud that it kept my husband and I up, when we reported it the front desk agent told us we were sol.
- This location is in the process of renovation and was not the best choice to stay at for this reason. They are a work in progress and trying their best.
- It was FILTHY Breakfast was terrible .. also had a bagel with mold on it. Staff did not seem surprised and apologetic when I brought it to their attention.
