Magnificent view of Blue Ridge Mountains from my balcony. Spacious room. Privacy provided by staff after I hung "Do Not disturb" sign on outside of room door. Coffee always available in Lobby with nice flavored creamers. Very courteous staff.
The view off the front of the hotel was beautiful, too bad it was blocked by the parking lot.
The delicious coffee available in the lobby even in the evenings.

The staff was wonderful with requests for info/extra room amenities, rooms were big and clean, the facility was clean indoors/out. The pool was reasonably warm (I'm picky if it's too cold) and the hot tub was pleasingly hot. Breakfast was great!

Front desk staff are very kind and helpful. The breakfast is real cheap. They are cutting costs to a point they are offering unhealthy breakfast, full of processed and frozen food. Our room was not cleaned in three days. Bed sheets crumbled all the time

Top Tips
- Book 8-12 weeks ahead for May commencements and W&L homecoming to access the widest selection of refundable rates. Many hotels add exclusive packages or breakfast during these peak events. Rates often increase from mid-May and October as rooms fill quickly.
- Arrive via Lynchburg (LYH) or Roanoke (ROA) airports, then plan a 45-75 minute drive to Lexington. Due to limited public transit, consider renting a car at the airport. Many hotels along I-81 and US-11 include complimentary parking, and some can arrange shuttle transfers with advance notice.
- For free and ample parking, select hotels located at US-11 or I-81 exits, which are ideal if driving or arriving by rental car. Historic downtown inns and B&Bs often have limited on-site spaces, sometimes by reservation only. If driving an electric vehicle, confirm on-site charging station availability before booking.
- Downtown hotels are within a 0.1-0.7 mile walk (2-15 minutes) of Main Street and both universities, making local restaurants, shops, and museums easily accessible. If you require step-free access, check with your hotel about ramps and elevator availability before arrival, since some historic buildings may have stairs and uneven paths.
- Rideshare availability drops after 9-10 PM, so arrange a hotel shuttle, local taxi, or rental car ahead for late arrivals or departures. Some hotels offer shuttles upon request, and most leading brands maintain 24-hour front desks to assist with after-hours travel. Confirm directly before arrival if needed.
- Central Lexington hotels are often in historic buildings and may lack elevators. If step-free access is important, use booking filters to select accessible rooms, and confirm availability of ground-floor layouts, roll-in showers, ramps, visual alarms, and accessible parking with your chosen hotel before booking.
- If you value loyalty perks, verify breakfast and elite benefits. Many chains, including Hampton, Holiday Inn Express, and Best Western, offer included breakfast and points. Booking direct often enables digital check-in or room keys, but always confirm property policy and benefit coverage, especially during university breaks or holidays.
- Many downtown restaurants reduce hours on Mondays and outside university terms. Before heading out, ask your hotel about current local dining options. Some properties offer on-site restaurants, grab-and-go service, or room service to help when off-site dining is limited.
