Hotel Guest Reviews of the Holiday Inn Express Zhabei Shanghai

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

proximity to shops.
the room service is a little weird they put your water refills in the bathroom. the room they gave me was right across from the railway station and it was a bit noisy. old furniture and not too many options as far as food and drinks.

the staff were not helpful and the wifi is non existent, you need to use a broadband cable...just very hard to get around it all. the lack of fridges microwaves or cable tv made the stay really boring, they just had chinese channels. no bathtubs only showers with basically a single door to either close off the shower or the bathroom door, so privacy is a nightmare if there are two or more in the same room. ...read more

GREAT LOCATION, NEAR TRAIN STATION & BUS STATION...SOME AMERICAN FAST FOOD RESTURANTS NEAR BY ALSO.
HOTEL WAS GREAT BUT THEY SHUT A/C OFF ON NOV 1....VERY WARM IN SHANGHAI & THEY SAID TO OPEN WINDOWS..ROOM WAS VERY HOT DURING THE DAY...WAS ON 18TH FLOOR & HEAT RISES. TRAIN STATION WAS DIRECTLY BELOW WINDOW & WOKE UP EARLY WITH THE SOUND OF TRAINS...

LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE HOTEL WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE A/C BEING TURNED OFF...ROOM DID NOT COOL OFF TILL LATE AT NIGHT & WAS UNBEARABLE LOCATION WAS GOOD & FRONT DESK PEOPLE WERE VERY FRIENDLY. CHECKING IN AND OUT WAS VERY EASY...BREAKFAST BUFFET WAS FINE, BUT, HOT TEA & HOT WATER WERE LUKEWARM.

Cheap price, convenient location, overall clean and effective.
Front desk people could be kinder with smile.

Although it is great to use computer free Internet, Print one page out paper 20 rm is too much. Especially they didn't tell in advance.

The staff was very helpful although their English wasn't very good.
Disgusting breakfast and very cold lobby and hallways. Poor location.

Should not carry the Holiday Inn name! Freezing lobby and halls. Very poor TV service. No entertainment anywhere near the place, not (easy) walking distance to the train station. Poor carpeting in the rooms, filthy windows so no view. Fair bed and space in the room. The staff gave great effort in helping me but they are clearly poorly trained and uninformed (didn't know the shuttle schedule to the airport). And weak English skills. Don't stay here if its for convenience to the train station.

Located right on the Huangpu river with good views of the bund area.
The bed mattress very uncomfortable. could feel springs on body.

Located on the rivers' edge, the seagull has great views of the Bund district. The buildings' architecture is one with character and charm. The staff is friendly and speaks English. The lobby area and rooms are very clean. Great for meetings and business travelers.

Friendly staff, good buffet and close distance to downtown.
Street construction, horrible access from street to side walk of hotel front.

Free breakfast buffet was an unexpected and delicious surpise!
The temperature in the room would not go below 25 degrees celcius. They would not make it any cooler. Uncomfortable.
