Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hilton AucklandOur hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. The location was great and we really enjoyed the view. It was also very nice that we were given a late check out the next day. But I did feel that the hotel was overpriced. We paid over $400.00 for a nice room but to me it didn't seem quite worth it. I also thought that it included breakfast but that was not the case. The staff was friendly enough but it just didn't seem quite genuine. I am comparing the experience to the sky city grand where we also spent a night while in Auckland. The staff there really made an impression and they seemed to be more sincere. The Hilton staff seemed like they were doing their jobs, being nice to people who were spending money. Do not get me wrong, the Hilton is a very nice hotel and the room was definitely stellar but for some reason it just didn't feel as good to stay there. ...
