Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hôtel Ellington

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Beautiful jazz hotel in a nice location, walking distance from the train station & the ocean. Loved the architecture. The front desk staff were informative & helpful. Loved the buffet breakfast. Rooms were clean, but not as remodeled & stylish as the rest
The rooms & bathrooms could use a bit of style & updating.

Very elegant, antique vibe. Lovely when they played authentic American Jazz music. We enjoyed happy hour in the bar (though it was quite pricey) and buffet breakfast was delicious in the gorgeous dining room. I would stay here again.

Good location and breakfast deal.

The hotel is a nice walking distance from the oldest part of town/Promenade D'Anglais and the Chagall Museum. The (classic) room was a bit small. Breakfast was a good deal if you booked it in advance.

We used the room service three times because we would sleep to late to eat any type of breakfast! So a sandwich at 11:00 was perfect.
The private beach is about a 15 minute walk. I was under the impression that the beach was included, but it was only discounted. I think it was 28e for the day. You did have access to an area to change and rinse off, which was nice.

Loved the hotel! It was nicer than expected. The bar and breakfast were overpriced, but it was convenient. The staff was also helpful. It was an easy walk to old town shopping. The bathroom is large and clean too.
