Hotel Guest Reviews of the Fuego Mio Bed & Breakfast

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Fuego Mio B&B has AMAZING breakfasts. Aruba has good food overall, however, what Fuego Mio offered us was consistently VERY tasty and full meals each morning. We looked forward to breakfast everyday (and miss them now that we're gone). Friendly owner
The bed is firm, so if you like soft mattresses, this place may not be ideal. Also, the location is in the middle of the island, so you need a car but are no more than 20 min from anywhere on the island, good for exploration, but not walking to the beach.

The B&B is very homely (breezy backyard and pool area, lots of ventilation, friendly cats, and a pleasant owner). We had a T-mobile international data plan to use Google Maps to help us find our way, which I highly recommend. The B&B can be hard to find at first due to its remote location near Arikok National Park, just look for "48A SF" and note the ruddy color of the building in the photos when you're getting close. We were the only ones at the B&B over the 4 days that we were there, we had a nice time getting to know the owner and her sister. The backyard pool is nice after a long hike in nearby Arikok Nat'l Park. Because you'll probably have a car if you're staying here, you'll have the opportunity to see most of the island on your trip-- so take advantage of its central location and go all over. No need to stay in Noord and never experience the natural side of things in the national park or along the northern coast. Enjoy and Ingrid (the owner) will do her best, I'm certain, to accommodate you with whatever you need as well as any dietary restriction that you might have. My GF is vegan-esque and Ingrid built her menu around this fact, while I got all the meat, eggs, and cheese that I could want. I can't emphasize enough how good the breakfasts were. ...read more
