Hotel Guest Reviews of the Idol Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Good location near Europe Metro Station.

The hotel is near Europe Metro Station. A boutique hotel, with small but clean rooms. A very small lift (elevator). Personnel was friendly. Room walls are thin, so you can hear your neighbors and street noise. Bathtub is high, so be sure to request a shower. Near the hotel you can find a laundromat (expensive 4 euros per wash), several brassiere, and a granprix (supermarket). The hotel is not near Paris major attractions, but with the metro you can move around very easy. ...read more

Location is pretty good
Our room smelled like someone smoked there before. They didn't have 2 beds available as was requested by us.

The location is the best thing about this hotel. The metro station are pretty close and we could walk to all of the major attractions like Louvre. The guy who you see most of the time at the front (the night guy) has a very poor English. The manager is there only from 11 to 8 when most people are out roaming Paris. The night guy wasn't helpful at all with questions or requests. The room was small as usually is in Europe but fairly clean. ...read more

It was cute. Good area. Close to restaurants and transit.
I had emailed the hotel before and requested an early check in. I received a response back saying that it was fine and I could check in at noon. Upon my arrival, the woman behind the desk said that,
I couldn't check in till 2pm.

The location and the friendliness of the staff are its high points.
On the first night we were given an extremely small room; later we moved to a larger and
better room.

It's a small hotel in a very nice area; the staff is very friendly and it should be ranked somewhere in between two and three stars. The small rooms are claustrophobic whereas the larger ones are nice; free Wi-Fi is definitely a plus for the hotel as well as the TV programming -there's a wide selection of channels. For the price of a daily rate, breakfast should be included (it is not). Other similar hotels include breakfast in is daily rate. ...read more

The room was clean,
the hotel staff were very nice and helpful.
The room was very small, but that is to be expected in Europe.

The hotel was in a decent location, close to the metro and only a 15 minute walk to the Opera or Moulin Rouge. We walked everywhere during our stay and never used the metro. The hotel is tucked behind the train station in a quiet part of town and it felt safe there at night. Overall, it was a great experience for the price we paid.

The common area was nicely decorated. Clean.
Everything was so small. Room, bathroom, bar, elevator, and everything.

The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. When I asked here the nearest car park was the receptionist could not be bothered. They also wouldn't give me a receipt for my room when I checked out. The nearest parking was blocks away. Although the lobby and bar looked posh, it was very. The bar was a joke because it wasn't stocked. The continental breakfast was in a room so small, when we showed up there was no where to sit. Our room was so small, our luggage took up the entire room. The bathroom was split into two and each was smaller than a closet. The shower was so small, when I tried to was my hair, I hit my elbows on the wall. I would not recommend this hotel for the price.
