Hotel Guest Reviews of the Econo Lodge EffinghamOur hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

It was an old, dirty, and outdated hotel. Priceline should never book rooms through this hotel. It was not appropriate for women or children. I felt it was a dangerous place to stay at. People were living out of this hotel. Some people had a room full of dogs at this hotel. Other people were selling drugs out of hotel. It was basically a flop house. There is no way that this hotel can be classified as a 2-star Hotel and above. It would not even be a one star hotel. ...

Won't return. Generally just an old run down hotel (1960s?), typical with no money to fix things up. Most old hotels are just like this.

Should be a 1 star hotel not a 2 star as it is currently listed. So filthy and in disrepair as I listed above. I would have left if I hadn't already been charged for the room by Priceline. I would have demanded a refund from the hotel if I had paid for it to the hotel directly.
