Hotel Guest Reviews of the Econo Lodge Castro Valley

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Location to Interstate 580 and 5 minutes to downtown and Lake Chabot. Internet was running decent enough to get email. Room was large enough to walk around in.
No Hello just a blank stare from the staff when i walked in to check in. Room smelled of too much bleach. Middle of winter and the heat was not working. Notice some mold in corners of the bathroom and wash basin. Ownership seems to like to cut corners.

Somewhat disappointing even for a One Star, unkempt inside considering it appears new from the outside. If you are just looking for a place to sleep overnight between or during whatever you are doing then its just OK. But spend a few more bucks on a better place of you plan on staying more than overnight.
