Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hôtel De La Place Des Alpes

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The hotel staff were courteous and helpful to my friends and I (especially since I only have a basic understanding of French). The location is great because you're still in the city and only a block away from the Metro (Place d'Italie).
The bathroom was a bit small, by American standards, but it is manageable. Unfortunately, my friends and I went during the heatwave and there is no air conditioning. However, we did have a fan in the room.

The hotel's location is fantastic. It's only a block away from the Metro (Place d'Italie) station and the 6 and 7 lines run to the main attractions (Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Musee de Louvre, etc.). There are a number of cafes/restaurants, grocery stores, fast food places, banks/ATMs, and pastry shops within walking distance which is great if you wanna relax one day and stay nearby. The hotel staff was courteous and most of them spoke English. In particular, the gentleman with his hair tied back and the woman who I believe is a maid. Both were very kind and helpful. The bathroom is small, but, still manageable. There is no AC, but, a fan was provided; be aware of the weather when you visit. ...read more

Close to metro. Quiet location, but far from center of Paris.
It small space, but
I guess thats standard for Euro.

Far from Paris center, but close to metro.
Situated in quiet location. Rooms are small, but clean condition has a full bathroom. Just a perfect convenient economical place to sleep at night.

Very convenient location in terms of transportation, dinning and grocery shopping.
Small, old and sometimes noisy during the night.

We stayed 6 nights here and felt it's a good deal for our trip. It's very close to two metro stations and easy access to the places we wanted to visit by public transportation. There is a Carefour market near by, as well as many restaurant choices as well. We had breakfast in McDonald's and Paul bakery during our staying and enjoyed their food a lot! Every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, there is a farmer's market by the Commercial Center. We bought some fruits there and it's super sweet and fresh. But don't expect too much for the hotel since the price is relatively low. ...read more

Right beside Metro, cafés, restaurants and shopping right outside. Staff were very nice, great coffee int he morning.

Hotel was very nice, comfortable and quiet, even though our room faced the street.

Clean, close to Metro, Attractive area.
Hotel did not have wine bottle opener.

Hotel was nice with very friendly (and bilingual) staff. Common areas were small, though room was decent size for a european hotel. Hotel had a small elevator, which is good for upper floors. Walls were fairly thin, so you could hear your neighbor. Caution: bring your own wine bottle opener, hotel has none to provide.

Friendly staff who spoke English. Gook location with restaurants and metro nearby. Clean room.
Very thin walls. Tiny bathroom.

Good hotel for the money. The staff were friendly and spoke English. The room was clean and was the level of quality that I'd expect for the price I payed. There are restaurants, bakeries and a major metro station within a ten minute walk. Only complaints are the thin walls and the rooms were pretty small. But overall for the cost, I'd recommend it if you're trying to travel on a budget. ...read more

Cheap and clean.
Small room with steep stair access.

Small and quirky room, but not unexpected for Paris.

The staff was really friendly and there was a mall and large grocery store nearby.
The location and the rooms were not very romantic

location, friendly staff
having to give the room key to the front desk every time we walk out

The room was clean and the staff were friendly and the location was excellent, but I'm not likely to stay here again because the hotel requires you to hand the key to the front desk when you go out, and tell the room number to the desk attendant when you come back in order to get the key. Theoretically anyone could get the key for any room they ask for, which I don't feel comfortable with, because the desk people don't ask for identification. ...read more
