Hotel Guest Reviews of the Candlewood Suites Secaucus

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Nothing infact it was worst experience i had in my life. The front end staff called cops for no reason.I wish priceline can return my money back
Non sense front desk staff

Worst experience of my Life.I booked 1 room thru priceline and was not sure if 1 room that I booked was 1 bed or double bed. When asked at front desk they denied entry for 3rd adult. Though frustrated i accepted it as it is my mistake and walked away.I was not sure what front desk thought she called COPS to warn me(I was sleeping in my car) not to enter property. No where in the whole conversion i mentioned that i will return to the room and I warned that if i enter property she has the right to vacate everyone.Initially COPS went to the the room at midnight and informed my wife and mother that i should not enter. Both of them were scared to death as to what will happen to me.Whole night they didn't sleep as they were afraid what COPS will do. The front desk person gave 10 minutes time to vacate the property and i left in that time period and hence I am not sure calling COPS to warn me and scaring my wife and my mother was right thing she or the management has done. ...read more

Anytime again! I would grant 4 stars to this hotel instead of 2. The hotel has exceeded my expectations.

The suite was up to date, clean and pleasant.
The person who checked me out was rude. I think her name was Veronica or Victoria. Everyone else was nice.

Clean, modern, up to date. When I turned on the shower there was some white film gathering up near the drain. It might've been because the room was new and the tub hasn't been used yet, not sure. The hotel is about 10 mins from Secaucus Junction which can take you anywhere you need to go in the city. They offer free shuttle service during the week. I took it to the mall about 5 mins away and they pick you. The driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. Very convenient! There's also free parking, a business center and a convenience store with snacks and things The room was very new and clean, I was on the 1st floor. It had a kitchenette, microwave, fridge, flat screen tv with movie channels. You can also rent DVD's from the front desk. The bed was sooooo comfortable. This is a great hotel, great location, great price. The only thing that messed up a pleasant stay was the person who checked me out, Veronica or Victoria with trashy blonde hair, she had a bitchy attitude. I would recommend and stay again. ...read more

My reservation was cancelled!

Horrible service. Just awful!!! I got there and they told me that my reservation was cancelled! In fact i even called them prior to arriving that I would be checking in later than the 3pm checkin time that they state, the front desk said , "no problem". In there lousy attempt to make up for there unprofessionalism, they also gave me a bogus confirmation # to another hotel room (Meadowland PLAZA hotel) when i got there, the Manager's credit card from Candlewood Suites was denied 3X. As a result the alleged room that they had confirmed for me did not exist. I was forced to pay for a new room out of pocket. I contacted the Manager in Candlewood Suites and he showed no remorse and said what happened was btw him and the other hotel as if i had nothing to do this situation. They are unprofessional, lying, scam artists. Please people do not book at this hotel if you have any plans use a different one in the area. There are several Red Roof Inn, Meadowlands Plaza...etc. I am still investigating whether or not I was charged for this room. If did not stay there and was charged, I will have no choice but to consult a lawyer for fraud. There is just no way that this kind of disservice should exist in a professional organization. I am a medical professional and if any of my patients had their appointments cancelled and then were told to go to another medical office for a prebook appointment that did not exist, the practice would crumble. Something needs to be done!!! ...read more

Low price, all basic hotel needs, clean, and kitchen.
No room service during the stay. This was weird, but the room was still hotel style room and would recommend it.

Close to Jersey Gardens (huge shopping mall), pleasant 2 star hotel that I would definitely recommend. No room service during stay, which was weird, but very clean nice rooms and place.

Clean room.
Desolate location.

Clean fresh room complete with all amenities. Very satisfied. Make sure you map out directions in advance as can be tricky to find.

Extra amenities, snack shop, DVDs to borrow at front desk with player in room. Grilling area at patio.
Lobby looked a bit trashy behind the counter. Room was stellar though. Location looked sketchy.

Quick and easy check in, no one was there in the morning to check me out at 9am. Location was in a weird area, unsightly metal recycling across the street, seemed to be in an industrial area.
