Hotel Guest Reviews of the Bridgeport Bed And Breakfast

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff was amazing - it actually feels impolite to refer to them as staff! Dave, Kevin and Martin were the absolute best. So generous and helpful; incredibly down to Earth. They clearly love what they do.
The location is a bit far from downtown - average cab ride from Union Park back to the B&B was about $20-$25. That said, the extra few dollars were worth it - we normally stay in the Loop (cheap cabs)- never again! Bridgeport is an awesome neighborhoo

It is difficult to list all the awesome qualities of this place. Where do I begin? The amazing food? The quaint mini-apartment feel of the room? The personable, down-to-Earth staff? Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. And then some. We normally stay in the Loop area, but our regular hotel was booked solid. We decided to give the Bridgeport B&B a try and we will never stay in a commercial hotel in Chicago again! I'll admit we were a bit disappointed as we drove further and further from downtown - we thought we'd be walking for days to get to the Pier and whatnot. Didn't even matter! The B&B has a local coffee house and bar just down the street. There is a liquor store and CVS just a few blocks away, for incidentals and beer. Dave gave us a ride down 35th to the train station almost every day. Being a few miles away from the hub of the city was a little more expensive, but it was absolutely worth it. Eating Dave and Kevin's DELICIOUS breakfast in the cafe each day felt majorly luxurious - after a day or so we felt like family. During our stay we sampled just about everything including house-made soda bread and creme brulee french toast - AMAZING. They had great vegetarian options in addition to fancy meat options for my boyfriend. Martin was our waiter every day and he was awesome - super chill and helpful. The Bridgeport Bed and Breakfast made us feel like locals, not tourists. We will be staying here exclusively when we go to Chicago. We couldn't stop gushing to Dave and Kevin about their awesomeness while we were there, and I can't stop gushing now. ...read more
