Hotel Guest Reviews of the Best Western Plus The Tuscan

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff were excellent: Cheerful and helpful with suggestions for logistics of travelling in town and for good targets. The room was very comfortable.
The rooms are not huge, but they are large enough for a couple to inhabit and move to around comfortably. AC fans were a bit loud, but that's not a problem since AC is needless in SF.

This is a nicer place than the price suggests. A wine social in the afternoon and coffee and fruit in the morning in the lobby are friendly gestures. The staff are excellent. The building is two blocks from Fisherman's Wharf so in easy reach of beautiful daytime views of the bay, but far enough to be quiet in spite of the noise at night. I would recommend a room away from the street. And get the Muni pass as the bus/metro system is the easiest way to travel in town. ...read more

Great location central to all the tourist attractions! Right next to a grocery store, and easy access to public transportation. Very nice quiet room.
I wish it had a continental breakfast, but most hotels in the area do not offer one so it is in line with those. Poor sink drainage in the bathroom.

Hotel was nice, and clean, location was great close to Fisherman's wharf and Pier 39.
Staff was a bit abrupt and entirely helpful. Not warm and fuzzy. I did not feel entirely welcome. I was surprised a Continental breakfast was not offered. Paid an additional $50 for parking. Bad form.

It was within walking distance to Pier 39 in one direction and Fishermans Wharf the other direction and there was an IHOP and a CVS in between. The location was great!!
The "smokers lounge" was in the parking garage without even a chair to be comfortable.

Close to the pier area. Linens were nice.
They charge $50 a day to park your car. Outrageous. Our room was next to the stairwell. We could hear EVERY step when people werewalking up or down the stairs. Also, every time the stairwell door was accessed (which was often) it would slam shut.
