Hotel Guest Reviews of the Renaissance San Diego Downtown Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The vibe was very modern and chic. The room was squeaky clean and comfortable.
Although this hotel is in downtown, it is not walking distance to any bars or clubs. With the price tag, you'd think there would be free parking but they charge an additional fourth dollars to park at the hotel.

This hotel was a sight to see. Its very beautifully decorated and gives you the vibe of a Vegas hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful but they need more check in associates. The rooms we're neat and tidy. A littleee small but comfortable. The munchies they had available in your room we're great as well as the mini bar options. The bed was big and comfy. Id give the room and hotel an overall nine out of ten stars. The location was in downtown but kinda far from any bars or restaurants. The price tag that comes along with this hotel should also include free parking. They charge an additional fourty for hotel parking even though one block away is a parking garage that charges twenty five. Besides these small details, the hotel is great and I would definantly stay here again. ...read more

Close walk to downtown.
There was construction surrounding the entire area of hotel. It was hard to get to hotel , and parking was horrible. They only offered outside parking, no covered parking. The room was uncomfortable and noisy. Far from Marina, had to drive to it.

We love this hotel! It is the 3rd time we've stayed here - enjoyed it every time! The hotel is more appropriate for couples, but the staff was very accommodating of our family.

Service.
Room cleanliness and Hotel location. Should not be rated a 4 star or imcluded in Gas Lamp District when making area selection!

I liked that the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I slept great and felt safe.
The halls, elevator and lobby was hot, humid and stuffy. Inquired with staff and they looked at me like I was some old complainer...said they'd check it out. Area does have sketchy characters, so be careful if walking alone or at night.
