Hotel Guest Reviews of the W Hotel Atlanta Midtown

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

This hotel does not deserve a 4 star rating in terms of decor. Areas looked as thought carpet had been removed with bare concrete. They obviously cater to a young 25-30 business crowd. Loud almost reminds me of college spring break.

Facilities (gym, pool), modernization design features.
Lobby congestion near elevator access to rooms.

Location is outstanding as it is north of most of the congestion of down town Atlanta. Gym and pool areas were easily accessible and highly functional. Hotel overall is aesthically pleasing and comfortable.

The location.
Having to pay $30/day for valet parking. The attendants were very friendly but of course I felt obligated to tip them on top of the daily rate.

Well, get ready for something different! The W has a very international feel to it. There is house music constantly playing in the elevators & lobby. The decor is modern, euro trendy. We stayed during the week, but heard that it turns into a party spot on the weekend nights, with an alternative lifestyle crowd. The first room we checked into had a very heavy smell of marijuana, but the staff was very accommodating and moved us into a better room as soon as I informed them. This was a family trip for us, so we felt a little out of place there, although the staff was very friendly overall. I don't have anything bad to say about it other than having to pay $30/day for parking, but with the Priceline savings, I figured I still came out ahead. It would've been more enjoyable if I had gone there just with my wife. ...read more

The location of the hotel is excellent. Valet was excellent. Jermaine checked us in, he was excellent a plus for the hotel.
I wanted to enjoy a good meal. The chicken pasta was horrible. The chef needs to go. The pasta cooked on the grill with chicken. pasta was hard dried with green oil at bottom. I was upset to complain. I did not eat anything else there not even the free

The location of this hotel is excellent. It's only minutes away from some good restrauants that I found out to late to enjoy on this trip but I will in the future. The greeter was excellent as well as the valet.

What I like best was the staff. They were professional, friendly, and helpful.
We found our hall to be noisy. The doors slam automatically, for safety no doubt, but the doors slammed at all hours of the night. Also, there were at least 2 loud altercations outside at the entrance to the hotel, and we could easily hear this.

We appreciated the staff the most. The ultra modern decor is not to my taste, and the hotel does not give off a 'warm' feeling. The bed was very comfortable, though I wish I had taken advantage of the 'pillow' menu, since the standard pillows are very soft. Also, feathers continued to push through the comforter, which was uncomfortable at times. We are not drinkers, but the mini-bar 'fridge was well stocked, for a price. The set up of our room was a bit awkward in that the TV was placed to the side of the bed, not in front, making it difficult to watch it when resting in bed. Perhaps not all the rooms are set up this way. We took advantage of the 24hr fitness facility, and the equipment is top notch. The room is a bit crowded, and bring your earbuds if you want sound with your treadmill TV. We discovered that the valet parking is less expensive than the self-serve parking garage next door. This hotel is very convenient to all Atlanta mid and downtown attractions. We would certainly trust Priceline in the future! ...read more
