Hotel Guest Reviews of the W Fort Lauderdale

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

This hotel is very close to the beach. They allow animals for those traveling with pets.
There is no door to the bathroom. The bathtub is the first thing you see when you walk in the door. The toilet has it's own little room with virtually see thru glass. There is no privacy. Very awkward with teenagers or if you were with another couple.

Luckily I got a good price on this hotel from Priceline, if not I would be very disappointed. It is hard to find the hotel because there is no good signage. The hotel is so dark you can't tell if is clean or not. There is so much air freshener I had an allergy attack. There is a charge for wifi except in public area. There is daily mandatory 30.00 valet charge. The hallways have a train whistle like sound you can hear in your room from the wind. The window in our room was permanently stuck open. There is no door on the bathroom and shutters to peek in above the too narrow tub oddly. The is no privacy using the toilet or getting dressed. Very awkward. The outdoor deck was so slippery from rain someone is going to break their neck. I normally don't send in reviews, but I wanted to warn another family that might chose this hotel. I emailed the gm of the hotel with my concerns and never received a response. ...read more

We had a lovely room with a balcony and we were steps away from the beach.
The cost for parking was outrageous ($31/night) as well as WiFi. This should be rolled into the cost of the room at those prices.

This is a lovely hotel with a great beach location. Be prepared to pay a lot extra for parking, WiFi and meals (if you choose to eat at the hotel).

Very clean, Very friendly and polite staff.
It took 8 hours to have the bed made up, poor communication amongst the staff.

Great hotel, just avoid asking the staff for anything. After we arrived, we had to wait over eight hours to have the spare bed made up. It was blamed on poor communication amongst the staff. At 2:00 am, we finally were able to get to bed. Totally unacceptable in my opinion. They have a guarantee for the valet parking to have your car in 8 minutes. Forget it, average wait time is 12 minutes, once it took 22 minutes. The guarantee is useless, they simply say "sorry". Hotel is beautiful. The restaurants are super expensive. The only thing "free" is coffee in the morning. Orange juice is $3.71. Bagel with butter is $3.71. Toast is the best deal at $1.87. ...read more
